Level 1 Improv Online - Tuesdays
Tuesdays at 6:30 pm
August 4, 2020 - September 22, 2020
It’s time to let improv comedy change your life.
Improv is not only an incredible tool for comedians and actors making strides toward a creative future, but also for anyone looking for a way to meet new people while participating in a fun and supportive group activity.
The skills covered in this Level 1 course are an introduction to the basics of how to perform “”Long-form improv”” comedy, a unique art-form that uses group collaboration to create spontaneous theatrical pieces.
As a bonus, the skills covered in this course (including listening, reacting honestly, and being supportive) have benefits which help people in their behavior both on and off-stage (in both personal and professional lives).
So, consider taking the plunge and join us for improv Level 1.
The course will be held entirely online over a video chat software called “zoom”, and is intended for people who have little to no experience performing improv.
To participate you will need a computer, access to the internet, a webcam and a microphone.
This course includes 8 weekly classes from 6:30pm-8:30pm starting Tuesday, August 4th.
Students who complete this course will be eligible to register for either the online class for experienced improvisers, or in Improv Level 2 when our in person classes resume.
This class is limited to 12 students, so reserve your spot now!
This class is intended for students age 17 and up.
Have questions about the class? Feel free to shoot us an e-mail at email@example.com.
About Jason Burnett
Jason has been performing improv all around Texas since 2013 but got involved creating comedy a decade ago in New York. He is a member of the B. Iden Payne nominated improv team Sis Boom Bah, ColdTowne Theater’s very own Hunnicut and has produced shows like Black Hole – The Organic improv Experience. Jason is thrilled to share his passion for improv at Fallout Theater. A fun fact is that his first job was operating the bumper cars at Adventureland (directly based off of the titular park from the 2009 summer rom-com starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart).
