Learn to write Sketch Comedy without the commute!

Build your sketch writing portfolio for the stage and get a tool belt of handy short hand for writing effective comedy in a variety of genres including satire, parody, farce and physical humor. Unpack and analyze how professional sketches are constructed both on the page and on the screen. Exit this 8 week course with a solid packet of completed early drafts with class and/or instructor feedback every time.

This Class runs from January 16th – March 6th, 6:30pm-8:30pm online.  Students will take part in group video chat sessions with Vic and their classmates weekly to build their sketch writing skills.

This class is intended for students age 17 and up. Students who complete Sketch Level 1 Online will be eligible to enroll in Sketch Level 2.

About Vic Shuttee

Vic Shuttee gets a thrill from championing really funny stuff. He’s trained in improv and sketch with UCB (in both NY and LA), Second City Hollywood and ComedySportz, he’s written satiric stage plays that have been honored by The Kennedy Center, covered entertainment for both Houston Press and his own interview podcast Hail Satire (which has clocked 500,000+ listens across platforms) and has led courses and workshops at organizations like Texas State University, Kinder High School of Performing and Visual Arts, Texas Thespians, CSz Houston, Horizon Theatre and YoungArts. His many loves include pasta, hand-drawn animation, hobo culture, island based reality shows and his wife-to-be Caitlin!
