So What Else Ya Got? - Writing The Television Spec Script (Online Class)
Wednesdays at 6:30 pm
October 14, 2020 - December 9, 2020
The television spec script is a script of an episode of an existing series written to show a writer’s range, a writer’s ability to write in a voice other than their own.
The spec is an important writing sample to have for things like getting representation or applying to writing fellowships.
In this workshop, we will outline and write a spec script that will get you to the top of the read pile.
This course requires that students have a computer with access to the internet. A webcam is recommended but not necessary.
Starting Wednesday, October 14th students will receive weekly lessons and assignments from their instructor. The class will also periodically include group video chat sessions with the instructor and other classmates. These will take place on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm when they occur. Students unable to join in the group video chats will still have access to these videos after they conclude.
There will be no class Thanksgiving, Wed. Nov. 25th.
